Kinda the same as the OU explanation. It was like watching the 2015 Texans on Saturday; if LSU got even replacement-level QB play, I think they'd have won that game. But they didn't so *shrug* |

They will have plenty of opportunities to climb back into the top 10, although I'm not a big believer in Cam Cameron's offense. |

LSU traveled across the country to play a massively underrated team in a de-facto road game.  LSU closely lost a competitive slug fest and still has Fournette and a defense full of blue chip players, of all the teams that lost this weekend, LSU deserves to be the highest and the |

May be most irrational pick for me, but they just have too much raw talent to rank any lower, unless they lose again in the near future. Disgustingly volatile potential, might lose to G5 team, might beat top 5 team, but deficiency at QB keeps them low. |

I mean seriously this team might not have an offence but Leonard Fournette is very good. Honestly would have won had he not been injured. |

Oh, LSU... such high expectations, such average play. It was basically an away game, so you get some credit for that, and I still absolutely think you're top 25, but it's gonna be hard to claw your way back up without domination in the next several games. We'll see. |

They'll probably look better when they don't go against elite defenses like Wisconsin. Unfortunately, the SEC has a few elite defenses.Bonus fun fact: Cam Cameron is the highest paid offensive coordinator in the country.  |

Les Miles' seat has got to be one of the hottest in the country. The talk of the offseason for LSU was all about how the offense was going to improve so they can make a run at the national title. Well guess what, none of that happened. Brandon Harris might be the worst starting QB in the college football. LSU had 64 yards in the first half. Leonard Fournette didn't break 100 yards until late in the third quarter. LSU's defense, as always, looked good. They had to make up for the stagnant offense by getting LSU back into the game with a pick 6. If LSU simply does not get better offensively it is going to be a long year in Baton Rouge, and they will be looking for a new coach. |

You may be asking why did LSU get dropped down this far after a single game that they lost only by two points to an okay Wisconsin team? They lost by two points for the reason that I was apprehensive of them for. They had no offense other than Fournette and due to the lack of balance in their offense you can stack the box with no fear in the world. Fournette won't be in contention for the Heisman by the end of this year, I guarantee it. LSU will likely start of conference play decently well, but mark my words, by the end of this regular season they will be unranked after 4 losses in 5 games and in all likelihood will lose their bowl game. |
