Cincy and Oklahoma both defeated bad now 1-6 teams. OU looked worse in their win, but the MoV was still higher than Cincys win. OU and Cincy are interchangeable for the 2/3 spots.
I want to knock the Sooners down lower in the rankings because that game against K State was just deeply unimpressive, regardless of how comfortable the final score looked. But putting them below 1-loss Alabama or even undefeated Michigan...ugh, I just don't know.
New QB, but the same problems.  Team looked lethargic coming out of the gate and had to use a huge second half aided by some questionable calls to get past arguably the worst P5 team.  They don't have the benefit of the doubt like Cincinnati has because they hadn't been dominating weaker teams and they don't have a marquee win like Notre Dame.  Thus the Sooners drop.
There's an argument to be made that they should have lost that game to Kansas. That can't go unpunished. If you want to be considered a playoff team, you can't nearly lose to teams like Kansas in the latter half of the season.
