OU finally has a defense and it showed up in a big game. Riley will figure out the offensive problems and this team wil be hard to beat.  |

Oklahoma isn't allowed to have a defense. I thought those were the rules. They made a Sam Ehlinger led offense not just look pedestrian, but lost. A team that put up 38 on LSU was held to 27 here. Their offense isn't nearly as high flying as one is accustomed to and Hurts was exposed as a passer, but that doesn't matter when his OL is as potent as it is and can create holes for Kennedy Brooks and Hurts to run through forever and CeeDee Lamb can create receiving touchdowns regardless of what Hurts does. He is the best WR in the country. |

Very good win against a quality opponent. Offensively in the top-tier and defensively average. |

Bit of a bump here due to a couple of things. First being the B1G and SEC each having multiple teams with more points but I won't put them in the top 4 together, secondly they jump Clemson for having a ranked win with comparable easy schedules.  |

Strong win against Texas, (yes they have 2 losses but against 3 of the top teams... barely) They have been wrecking teams before them, granted most were meh at best. |

Oklahoma got a nice win over Texas this weekend. They remain undefeated and are blowing out everyone in their path.  |

What a weird game, certainly should have been a much bigger blow out but mistakes from play calling to Jalen trying to play hero ball kept Texas in the game. But how about that defense? 9 sacks! this is what everyone has been waiting for. |

OU finally makes their leap toward the top with the Red River Shootout behind them. The remaining schedule has more challenges than Clemson's and gives them an opportunity to leap the reigning champs. |

I have some qualms about Oklahoma in a playoff context -- they can't really stop the run, and they are way too dependent on CeeDee Lamb for their scoring. With that said, they gave Texas 14 points in silly turnovers and still nearly covered. OU's B-game is better than most teams' A-game. |

2/2 in Tier B: Both Oklahoma and LSU have a 1 TD win over Texas, but LSU is bumped ahead of Oklahoma, as the Sooners don't have a win of the same quality as LSU's win over Florida. |

(217 + 0 -> 217; 9 -> 9) Finally a quality win for the Sooners! It would be just like Texas to go lose to KSU now, just to spite OU. Also, hold the phone, does OU have a passable defense?? (+1) |
