_Brazenhead_ 10 Handled business on the road in a game many "experts" pegged as a trap game. They showed well against LSU and have continued to show consistency on offense and an okay, but not great, defense. They seem like a fringe playoff team but will have a chance to prove themselves in the coming weeks, especially against Oklahoma.

crimsonlaw 10 The title of best one-loss team is getting competitive. I'm still sticking with Texas since they played LSU so close.  Quality loss right there.

T-Thugs 10 Texas's only loss is to LSU. Their best win (Oklahoma State) took a little shot this week as Ok st got beat by Texas Tech. They have a huge opportunity this weekend playing against Oklahoma. A win would jump Texas to the top of the 1 loss crew.

Charlemagne42 11 (192 - 15 -> 177; 8 -> 11) Texas looked awful in a win over WVU. Interceptions should have given that game away, and Texas was bailed out only by WVU obligingly throwing even more interceptions. (-1)

chrisb19 11 Ehlinger is the real deal, but I don't think the Longhorns can overcome Oklahoma on Saturday. Still they should be a top-15 team if they avoid a blowout.

hokies220 11 I have them third out of the highest one loss teams, because despite having the highest ranked loss of the three, in my poll at least, they don't have a win against someone I have ranked while Auburn and ND do.
hypercube42342 11 Texas will need a much better performance next week to beat OU. They're capable of it, but will it happen? Anyways, solid performances move a couple teams past them, -2.

moistats_ 11 Same case as ND but had a very convincing win at WVU. However, the loss at LSU at home is what decided the Longhorns to be below the Fighting Irish.

crownebeach 12 The offense is very good and the run game woke up in a big way, but defense is so, so young. Red River is going to be a race to score 60.

steelcitygator 12 So if Texas beats Oklahoma this week it would certainly create some interesting scenarios heading into the back half of the year.
stripes361 12 Texas continues their slow, steady creep up my ballot closer to the broader consensus point but their defense continues to cause concern. OU could score bunches of points against them in the RRS if they don't up their game. FWIW, the Longhorns have dropped to 20th(!) in both FPI and SP+.
