steelcitygator Ballot for 2019 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Bye week for the Tide as they try to hold off a number of teams looking for the top spots.
Ohio State Buckeyes They've just looked so good.  That was a good MSU defense they picked apart really well.  They always should have won but looked really good doing it, good enough to jump Clemson at least.
Clemson Tigers Well this is the time of year where Clemson went super saiyan last year so we will see if it happens again.  But so far its been kinda lethargic for the Tigers.
LSU Tigers Speaking of Tigers these ones took care of business and get to thank Florida for beating Auburn and moving them into a playoff spot.
Georgia Bulldogs Beat Tennessee, that Notre Dame win is looking better than I originally thought.  Between LSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma it is super close and I really wouldn't argue any order.
Oklahoma Sooners That being said Oklahoma gets the lowest spot of these 3 because they have yet to actually beat anybody good.  They get the opportunity to this week though.
Florida Gators Finally top 10 after beating an Auburn team that was 2 in these rankings last week.  A couple tough teams still to go but there is no denying this Florida team is very good and can beat anyone in the country on the right day.  Still just off the upper echelon teams though.
Wisconsin Badgers Badgers keeping on.  Its them, Ohio State, and Penn State in the running to win the Big 10 and could easily do so undefeated/1 loss to a top 10 team and would be a shoe in for a playoff spot.  Last year just seems weirder and weirder.
Penn State Nittany Lions Still behind Wisconsin because they haven't beat anyone truly really good and Purdue is super banged up.  This team is still my favorite playoff dark horse.
Auburn Tigers Tough loss to Florida but hard to put to many teams above them.  Certainly cant put them below an Oregon team that they beat and who hasn't looked that great.
Oregon Ducks Just beat Cal and while technically the Pac-12's best playoff hope I don't think many people are thinking about playoffs for that conference.
Texas Longhorns So if Texas beats Oklahoma this week it would certainly create some interesting scenarios heading into the back half of the year.
Boise State Broncos Boise doing Boise.  Basically them, SMU, and Memphis for G5 crown this year.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish They keep looking better.  Probably finish in the top 10 and might have only 1 loss.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Bye week for undefeated Wake.
SMU Mustangs Undefeated SMU needed a great comeback to stay that way but hey, just win baby (preferably without negative consequences to 5 people).
Utah Utes The Pac-12 is a freaking mess.
Texas A&M Aggies Aggies on a bye, starting to think they aren't gunna finish the year in the Top 25.
Memphis Tigers I rather enjoy Memphis this year and still dont know why.
Michigan Wolverines Big 10d Iowa but man what happened to all this offensive overhaul.
Baylor Bears Surprisingly decent this year.  Beating teams a bit better than Minnesota imo so they get the bump up.
Minnesota Golden Gophers ROW THE DAMN BOATS
Appalachian State Mountaineers App State probably isn't in a  good enough conference to get G5 crown honors but they are still great.
Iowa Hawkeyes 3. points.
Cincinnati Bearcats Looked very good beating UCF and hard to fault them to much for not keeping pace with Ohio State.
