Georgia losing wasn’t great but demolishing Florida helps prove that they can continue on this trajectory and win the sec

(-2) The Longhorns experienced a little bit of bye week slippage with huge wins for Mama and Notre Dame. Texas is on the inside track for an SEC title and has a chance for another statement win with A&M still on the schedule.

SEC continues to spiral and I am honestly at a loss for where to put teams. It is actually worse for Texas that UGA fell this week, but even after reevaluating everyone's resumes, they are still have one of the more solid 1 loss resumes. They do control their own destiny, seeing as they face off against TAMU to end the season. Could be a winner take all for Big 12 title game/CFP bid. They need to watch out for Arkansas & Kentucky firth though as they have proven mighty roadblocks for the SEC this year.

The Georgia loss has some downward pull for Texas as well, though not as much. Texas has had the unfortunate luck of playing teams when they were hyped/ranked (Michigan and Oklahoma) and then having to watch as those teams fall apart and those wins lose their luster. They still look great, but without any marquee wins and a blowout loss at home against a 2-loss team on the resume, Texas badly needs a win that they can really stake their resume on.
