jthomas694 5 Previously 5th. I have very little separation between Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State and Tennessee and will explain why in bits through this section. All of these teams are contenders at some level with flaws. I believe the national champion is likely one of these teams when they start to click. Alabama has the best win of the bunch and so they are in first here. The offense is one of the best in the country, if not the best, but the defense does not slam the door shut

70stang 15 Alabama has 3 P5 wins, including a ranked home win over last week's #16 UGA, as well as 2 G5 wins and an away loss to Vanderbilt to be 5-1. Losing away and not playing an FCS team places them above LSU, and losing to an unranked team places them below Illinois, KSU, and ASU.

HopefulReb76 8 Dropped due to poor performance to SC which I do think is a good team but, after a loss to a better Vandy team then people give credit too. The defense is just trying to give games up for them. Offense also struggled this week.

mountain_troop86 8 Like I said last week, this week was going to say more. They have issues and fan base is losing their minds, I love it
mr_longfellow_deeds 8
Mynameisdiehard 8 They struggled, almost lost, probably should have lost, to South Carolina. But hey, seems everyone else in the SEC also struggled so no changes. I think SEC bias and poll inertia are affecting people's judgements in the national polls. The top teams in the SEC seem to have taken a step back this year. The cannibalism we are seeing is a clear sign of that. Some media pundits are trying to make it seem like teams like Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Kentucky, etc. are "raising the bar" in the SEC but taking a quick look at each of them we can see this clearly isn't the case.

throwaway_6786 10 Another rough game for the Tide. To have a game like this, at home, right after a loss to Vanderbilt is not the best look, although their defense stood strong when they absolutely had to at the end. I'm starting to wonder just how great Alabama and Georgia really are this year, because they haven't looked like the death stars of the last few years so far.
WRSpill 10 (6)
xX_GIGA_MAN_Xx 10 It would've been REALLLY funny if they lost, but oh well. They look extremely shaky, so I doubt they make it through the rest of the season unscathed.
