Lost to VT in an incredible defensive battle of a game. WVU is a team to watch and 15 I think may be their low point for the season. |

Despite their loss, West Virginia was right there with Virginia Tech all game long Sunday night, and Will Grier has not lost his touch since his days at Florida. The Wide Receivers left a little to be desired, but their Defense did very well and with a competent QB leading them, the Mountaineers could possibly vie for the Big 12 CCG and a major bowl game. |

Yes WVU stayed static in my poll despite losing; they played well. |

Moves back 2 spots due
to losing, but lost in a very close game. Strong offense that lost steam late
game. Defense had a great last second stand. Deserves to be ahead of some of
the other teams who won their cupcake games. |

Grier still has it. He lit up VT's defense and that was with some deep-ball accuracy issues. If he connected a few of those bombs then WVU could've won by multiple scores. The Mountaineers also failed to convert a critical 4th down in the first half that could've completely changed the game. I expect this offense to have no trouble with most of the Big 12. The defense was able to get plenty of pressure on Jackson. If they keep that kind of pressure up they're likely to end up with many turnovers in their favor in the future. |

Played a good team hard, probably deserve to be higher, but people will bitch about an 0-1 team in the top 15. Will rise as the season goes on. |

WVU came up just a bit short in their game with VT Sunday night. Even though they lost they showed a lot of potential and bright spots. I think the Mountaineers will be really good. |

I couldn't justify dropping them out because they looked really really good against another top 25 team, and to me that's worth a spot in the top 25. |

I'm writing this after the game, WVU is damn scary. I hate them, but they don't deserve to drop from the top 25. |

A close loss to the Hokies earns the Mountaineers a place in my polls (quality loss!). What a quarterback duel between Will Grier and Josh Jackson. It looks as though Grier just might live up to his preseason hype. |
