It looks like the Cavaliers are picking up where they left off from last year. If their pass game can even come close to their run game then they’re gonna be unstoppable on offense.

I am 100% overreacting to a Week 0 game, but damnit better late than never to be all in on them. I didn't even watch this game live; I went back and watched a replay of it, and my goodness, it was amazing. I just love a team that can run the ball; it's just my blind spot in rankings. If you have multiple running backs that I like, or just a good run game in general like this Virginia team, I'll like you more than consensus. It's been my theme in these rankings, or at least partially. Virginia also has a light schedule; I see them being really good again, and who knows, they can easily find their way back into the ACC championship game.

Beat a legit ACC opponent soundly. They look like a playoff team.

They just look sound. Should be similar to prior year but with improvement to build on needing close margin wins.

If the Hoos weren't off this Labor Day weekend (even if just for a cupcake game), they'd probably be even higher!

Team was firing on all cylinders with new QB Beau Pribula at the helm. After barely missing out on the Playoffs last season due to losing in the ACC title game, Virginia has an even better QB and overall team to make things happen this year.

Virginia has one of the oldest teams in CFB and dismantled a P4 team, and as such they rise into my top 25.
