Overall Rationale: With it being the first poll, there's a lot of speculation and prediction built in to it. LSU and Miami were preseason favorites who took apart P4 teams, so they make up the top 2 teams for now. The rest of the preseason favorites stack up the rest of the top 10, and 10-20 are good teams with more question marks going forward. Louisville and Boise State stay in the top 25 with losses, due to the level of competitiveness they displayed against top 10 teams, while UCLA just misses the cut in my book.

Ultimately, this poll is almost entirely speculative, with most teams playing weaker competition, and I imagine there will be a lot of movement in the next few weeks.

15 Texas Tech Red Raiders Still unsure about QB for Texas Tech, so they feature a little lower than teams I consider more complete

18 Virginia Cavaliers Virginia has one of the oldest teams in CFB and dismantled a P4 team, and as such they rise into my top 25.

22 SMU Mustangs SMU struggled to put away FSU, but a win in those circumstances should be rewarded regardless.
