However, their year was mired by losses to a very bad Pitt and an okay Kentucky, and the poor quality of those losses put them at #15. The narrow win over NC State and the two-score win over Notre Dame is good (albeit maybe not as dramatic given Notre Dame's two hard-fought games immediately preceding), though the shutout win against Duke has looked less impressive with time.
