Wins over both Miami and Auburn give LSU the most impressive resume so far this season. I do think Alabama is still probably the best team, though. |

Toughest schedule thus far. They get Georgia and Alabama at home.  |

The Tigers handed both Miami and Auburn their only losses so far. Despite the FCS game sandwiched in between, LSU has arguably the best resume in the country at this point. |

+6 spots. LSU has the best resume of any team so far. Neutral field win over Miami and now a road win at Auburn...the Tigers may not be a playoff team at the end of the season, but they're acting like one right now. |

Last week: 12. I said I wasn't a believer in LSU before the Miami game, and I said it again this week before they played Auburn. Now LSU has two great wins and arguably the best resume in the country, which bumps them up to six. |

Well so far they have the most impressive wins of any team, with a win over Miami and Auburn. That Auburn win was close though, and certainly wasn't domination. They have a great defense and good run game. But I don't think Burrow has been a very good Qb - I guess that makes these wins more impressive. Though I think their win vs Miami wasn't as one sided as the score indicated. Miami might be the only top team with a qb worse than LSU. They've got 2 easy games, but then UF, UGA, MSU, then Bama coming up. Pretty tough. If they can win 3 of those, I think they'll have earned a top5 ranking, even with one loss. |

So far, the Tigers have the best resume in the country, but it's not quite good enough to put them in the top 5. LSU doesn't get to wait for the postseason to meet Bama and Georgia like the 3 teams ahead of them, and they still don't look ready to compete with those two teams. A 10 win regular season still lies on the table, though, assuming wins in tough matchups with MSU and A&M. If the Tigers can work out some issues and recover from some injuries, they might give the Dawgs and Tide a run for their money, but as of now, they aren't there yet. |

A very close battle between the tigers won by 1 point, and it is therefore fitting that LSU moves up again. So far they are undefeated with two ranked wins, and they definitely deserve to be up there with the best. |

The Oxford English Dictionary defines grit as "the ability to overcome the unconquerable, the unyielding courage in the face of hardship, the unflinching resolve to never quit." It's also a delicious dish when paired with shrimp. |
