Second best win of Week 1, with a great win over OU.  If they don't trip up, they're in the playoffs. |

They had the most impressive win in the country, other than maybe Bama. They look scary. No reason to not rank them this high from what we've seen of the other top teams. |

They are the real deal. I'm a Tom Herman believer after the last two years. No phase of the game could absolutely be described as "weak" against the Sooners, which is rare in a first game. |

Houston looks fucking good. Count me in on the hype train. These teams have the tendency to have a let down game eventually, but I'm hoping not. Extremely fun to watch. |

Best win of week one. Defense was flying around, Greg Ward is a stud, and they answered a lot of questions. Now time to root that Oklahoma still has a good season. |

Raise your hand if you thought UH would win by double digits and generally just look in control for much of the game. Now put your hand down, liar. Tom Herman continues to produce amazing results and Greg Ward Jr to Dunbar could become the stuff of nightmares for teams down the line. |

Cougars beat the Sooners. Ohio State and Michigan beat creampuffs (though I might be selling Bowling Green short). Ranking Houston over OSU was tough since the Buckeyes looked amazing in their blowout...but at the end of the day I think Preseason Polls are stupid so it's weird to be to keep OSU at 4 and Houston at 5 just because a Preseason Poll had them ranked higher at the start.  |

Wow. What a performance by the Cougars. Houston probably had the best performance of the weekend in their dispatching of Oklahoma. Houston beat the Sooners in all 3 phases of the game on Saturday, and looked good doing it. It was evident that Tom Herman has his team believing they can play against anyone, and they just might be able to. If they can run the table, which would include a win over Louisville as well, they just might find their way into the playoffs. Don't sleep on Houston, and don't be surprised if QB Greg Ward Jr. (23/40, 321, 2 TD, 0 INT) finds his way to New York in December. |

Going into the Houston-Oklahoma game, I had a bet on Houston with the point spread. I didn't actually think they'd win, but I didn't think they'd lose by more than a field goal. Another team that plays impressive football. |

Damn Houston you scary. Beating a top 5 OU team gets you into the top 5. It's unfortunate they won't really be tested by another P5 team, Louisville, until week 13. Can they hold on here if they win out? |

Probably has the best win in the FBS at this point.  Looked absolutely the part of a P5 championship contender program.  They may need some help to peek into the playoff hunt, but not much. |

Houston to me proved that last season was not a fluke but rather a sign of things to come. Their performance in their game against OU was electric and I am excited to see what Herman can do the rest of the season. Ed Oliver definitely earned his 5 star ranking. |

Houston is coming. They outplayed what I still consider a top-ten team, looked great on offense, and held against a QB that rivals their own. There's a minor concern about the ground game, but there's a chance they'll end up top five very soon. |

Houston is easily one of the three best coached teams in the country - they have electricity everywhere on offense, and a DT that could start for almost every team in the nation as a true freshman. Please squeeze to make room for me on this bandwagon. |

Great win over Oklahoma at home, but I don't think their schedule is good enough to replicate a Power 5 slate. Unless they dominate and the stars align, they'll peak around Top 5 or Top 6 and be left out of the playoff. Expectations will probably exceed their performance going forward. |
SenorPuff
|
10 |
With a great performance against a solid Oklahoma team they're fully in control of their future, and could be the first Playoff buster. Going undefeated is never easy but with Oklahoma out of the way and if they can play to that level every week they absolutely can pull it out. They'll probably not lose a game until very late in the season looking at their schedule. |
