The Bulldogs should have a leg up (haha, Mississippi State) on LSU this season. |

+1 | 81.8 | In a fall season without two of the Power 5 conferences, will Georgia finally get over the hump and return to the playoff? Doing so with a merely fringe-top-25 offence could lead to some difficulty, but the defence remains elite and the Bulldogs have been right there two years in a row. |

UGA doesn't seem to quite live up to expectation most years, but I can't drop them out of the top five with all of that talent. Their defense will win them most games alone. |

Good riddance, James Coley. Jake Fromm wasn't amazing, but the coordinator was the problem with this offense, not the quarterback play. Georgia and Oregon are in similar situations -- driven by defense, not much offensive experience to bank on. UGA could win the SEC, but probably not the national title. |

The offense is just such a question.  Need to switch things up but do we really trust this staff with QB assessment?  The fact that they brought in multiple transfers at the position scares me.  We know there is talent in other places though and trust the defense will be good. |

I still kind of don't like putting Georgia this high except for the immense amount of talent Kirby Smart has pulled in.  Georgia has been fielding one of, if not the best defense in the league over the past few years.  Here's where my issue is: while they have similar raw talent on offense, their scheme is archaic.  Could they turn it around like LSU did last year?  Sure.  But I'll believe it when I see it. |
