Though I will play devil's advocate and say that all that "lmao, Oklahoma should have NEVER been in!" rhetoric after the Rose Bowl was perhaps benefiting from hindsight (or the peak of a circlejerk, take your pick) - I DO see why the Sooners' case wouldn't seem as good as it was (and as Mizzou fan, I certainly have no love lost for them either lol)...but nobody was certainly complaining about them THEN, so why do it NOW? It's like saying James Madison should've never been if Oregon got trounced by Texas Tech after - there is a point to be made, sure, but it doesn't make it any less reactionary of a take.
