This is my end of season poll last year. They earned these spots last year and get them to start the season this year.  |

Obviously biased, but Coach Kelly has proved his near-lock for the HoF someday, has ND at the top of college football, and they bring in top 12 talent. I also look at their schedule and ask "show me the exact loss". Yes, tough road, but favored in each one by itself. |

Cain Madden and Kyle Hamilton will help lead a Notre Dame team that could go undefeated again, if they survive my #3 team |

ND has two matchups scheduled against teams in my pre-season top 10, both ranked below them. They miss Clemson this season. USC, though ranked by many, I believe is hugely overrated - ND should beat them handily and propel themselves further up the polls (maybe further than they belong... again). Can they make it back to the playoffs? |

They'll take down Cinci but will still end up losing 2 regular season games and fail to get back to the playoff. |

I'm not really sure what to think of Notre Dame yet, but they have the talent to make a playoff case. |

Some people think that ND is almost always overrated, but they are consistently top contenders, and they once again bring in a top recruiting class. Question mark at the QB position, where they lose an experienced player, but Brian Kelly has shown that he can keep this team competitive.  |

I am higher on Notre Dame than others -- it's not that I don't see the attrition issues, but there just aren't a lot of teams out there that are primed to capitalize and move above them. Their coordinators are good, Kyren Williams and Kyle Hamilton are great, and their recruiting last year was first-class.  |

ND only gets this high due to past seasons cause they lost a *ton* this season and if this ends up being my worse pick I won't be remotely surprised but they've earned some respect |

The biggest thing is the turnover, bottom 5 returning production.  While they recruit well, I wouldn't consider it in automatic reload territory.  Certainly Brian Kelly has earned some leeway but I think their rebuilding year is closer to 15-20 than top 10. |
