HHcougar Ballot for 2023 Preseason

Overall Rationale: My approach is a hybrid between a Power Ranking (who I think the actual best teams are), a Resume Ranking (who deserves to be ranked), and a computer poll that has a point system (everyone starts with 100 points, and if you win you add 1/2 their point total to your score, if you lose you lose half your points). The computer ranking is a WIP, so it might have drastic swings in the first few weeks. Each of the three is given equal weight, the scores are totaled, and then the highest-scoring teams are ranked. As this is a pre-season poll, there is no resume, and no games have resulted in point transfers, so the Preseason is just a human power ranking poll.

3 Georgia Bulldogs UGA has an easy schedule, but they're still a juggernaut
4 Clemson Tigers Dabo is back
5 USC Trojans Caleb Williams is really that dude
6 LSU Tigers
7 Washington Huskies Penix is rising up draft boards
8 Florida State Seminoles I like FSU this year a lot
9 Michigan Wolverines Michigan will take a step back this year IMO
10 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State finishes as #3 in the B1g. Again.
11 Texas Longhorns Texas is going to be great, but lose two games, and everyone will meme them, but they're going to win a NY6 game anyway.
12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish ND is a good team. Big surprise
13 Oklahoma Sooners OU wins the Big XII in their last season. Only to lose 5 conference games in the SEC year one.
14 Oregon Ducks Oregon has their best team in several years, yet they don't sniff the conference title game
15 Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee has a lot of expectations for the year. They don't live up to them but have a good year regardless. I still don't believe Tennessee was ever consistently really good.
16 North Carolina Tar Heels Drake Maye toosie slides UNC to an ACC title game berth.
17 Kansas State Wildcats EMAW. K State looks dangerous.
18 Arkansas Razorbacks KJ Jefferson is going to will Arkansas to a big-time upset this year.
19 TCU Horned Frogs TCU is going to be better this year, and lose several more games.
20 Texas Tech Red Raiders I'm not totally sold on Tech, but they have a lot of hype. I guess I'm shamelessly following the hype.
21 South Carolina Gamecocks SCar can put it together and be great, and they can struggle and be sub-par. They'll do both.
22 Utah Utes With Rising out and the backup likely out, Utah could start 0-2. They're a good team with a hill to climb.
23 Tulane Green Wave Tulane earned a spot here. I'm not sure they're actually gonna be any good this year.
24 Wisconsin Badgers Semper Mid
25 BYU Cougars Go Cougs. I don't care what you think.
