Josh Pate keeps saying that the only reason to rank Ohio State #1 is if you believe the Natty winner should stay #1 until proven otherwise. Now, I do have that belief somewhat affect my rankings, but I also believe that Ohio State should be #1 because, since the Texas game, they've won every single game by three or more scores. |

Crazy that there's a trophy game for Ohio State and they haven't played it since 2017. Ryan Day is finally an Illibuck winner. |

Illinois and Washington are the more impressive wins on their schedule so far, but that isn’t exactly great. I have started ranking Washington so that’s something to prop Ohio State up. I think it’s going to become increasingly difficult to justify Ohio State above teams that have the same record but against good teams. If I’m Ohio State I want Washington and Illinois to play a great remainder of the season. I still think OSU is one of the top teams this season, but they really won’t get to show it until the playoffs or B1G championship due to how texas, Penn State, and Michigan are not living up to expectations. |

Feels weird to rank them lower than they were last but now they have a common opponent with IU, and IU literally just outmuscled Oregon on top of it. Doesn't make OSU any less legitimate |

Moving up after beating a maybe good Illinois? I still don't think I know much about OSU and frankly I'm not sure OSU does either. Indiana has far less talent and beat this Indiana team much more convincingly. I think OSU will work to figure it out over the course of the season. Right now I think they're winning because of player on player mismatch more than anything but will probably mesh well by the time they need it. |
