Pitt is still undefeated and has still been able to grind out some close wins against decent teams like Cal & Cincinnati. SMU's only loss is to (in my rankings) a higher ranked BYU team and only by 3 points. Clemson's loss is a blowout to a lower ranked Georgia team. Additionally, in matchups that overlap with their counterparts, the other teams have had better results. Clemson will have the chance to prove it against Pitt. later in the season. |

It's still up in the air as to how good this Clemson team really is without any ranked wins, which is why that matchup against Pitt looks so interesting and will likely be telling for Clemson's CFP chances. |
