Damn. The Orange didn't help themselves at all in the second half, with the offense sputtering and the defense conversely getting tired and getting penalized. The one thing we did learn, no matter the outcome, is that this team is legit and capable of a 10-win regular season, if not more.

I actually came away more impressed with Syracuse even though they loss. They could’ve easily won that game if just one or two things went differently (including a late hit no-call). That INT at the end was ROUGH though.

Syracuse is 6-1 with a very close loss to Clemson. They have nice wins over NC State (5-2) and Purdue (5-3)

Losing to Clemson on the road, as bad as that was, DOES keep them above Penn State...

Syracuse collapsed against Clemson with a masterclass on how not to play in the 2nd half. The offense was shut down in the 2nd half and while the defense held on as long as they could, they ended up being unable to stop Clemson’s 2nd half rushing attack. Dumb penalties and bad clock management also did them in. A home game against an underwhelming Notre Dame is next.

I’m not punishing Syracuse for playing Clemson the way they did. Their loss was similar to Wake Forest’s loss to Clemson, and I don’t see a reason to move them down this week.

Was this past week Clemson being bad or Cuse being good?? Who knows, but it's a better loss than any of the remaining one-loss teams.

Losing by 6 on the road against Clemson isn't bad. Likely out of the running in the ACC though, as they're in the same division.

Last Week #14 at #4 Clemson lost 21-27. Syracuse looked amazing in the 1st half at Clemson going into halftime with a 21-10 lead, however (and unforunate for the Orange) football is played in two halves. Syracuse this looks like a solid team, but they learned this week that they have to play great for all 60 minutes to beat the top teams, and they didn't do that. This Week vs Notre Dame.
