T-Thugs	10	Notre Dame is a weird team. They have a terrible loss to Northern Illinois, but have 2 very good wins over Louisville (3-1) and Texas A&M (4-1). I moved them up a lot in my poll thanks to their second quality win, which most teams do not have yet.

Due_Connection179	18	Last Week NR vs #18 Louisville / Won 31 - 24 / Notre Dame's defense came up huge, especially in the first half. Two forced fumbles, one of which directly led to a Notre Dame TD "drive" of 4 yards, then later got an interception that the offense got a FG off of after the offense drove a total of 6 yards. So 10 pts for Notre Dame where the offense only had to get 10 yards sounds like a good defensive day.

70stang	20	TIER 6 - 1 Loss teams with 3 P5 wins Notre Dame is the only team in this tier, with 1 loss to NIU as well as 3 P5 wins, including 2 away wins and 1 ranked win over Louisville, as well as 1 G5 win to be 4-1. It's worth pointing out here that losing a game to NIU will eventually look worse than say, UGA's loss to Alabama, but for right now ND is being held up by the strength of games that they've won, as no other 1-loss teams have 3 P5 wins, and ND has a ranked win over Louisville. It's also worth pointing out that this is the start of the 1-loss teams in this poll; Currently, no 3-1 teams made it in. This will also normalize as more teams have bye weeks, but right now having played the extra game to be 4-1 helps a lot.

If the Huskies continue to lose, that stain on their resume will only hurt ND that much more. At least Texas A&M is playing better than usual. The ND-Navy game might just be a ranked vs. ranked matchup, which should help the Irish (if they win, of course).
