Idle this week, but the LSU win does look a bit better even if the refs gave them an assist. Next week should be interesting as they take the trip to the Big House
(+3) USC has been the most surprising team to me this season. This is the last team in my tier 2 of teams before the cluster of 10-22 that I have no idea how to properly rank.
One of 4 teams with a win over a current T25 ranked opponent. Highest ranked opponent defeated beside Texas over Michigan. USC has that same matchup with Michigan this week which I will be watching closely, although I think by the end of the season a Michigan win will not feel as strong as it does now.
Lincoln Riley is always going to have an elite offense. Until this year he always had a statistically last defense. It *appears* that has changed. With the Riley offense, USC doesn't need an elite defense, just one that is good enough. Through 12 quarters of football it looks like that is the case this year. A Riley lead team with a competent defense is likely a top ten team.
USC with their first shutout in quite some time. I was very low on this team at the beginning of the year as many were. The LSU W actually carries a little more weight after they beat the Gamecocks this past weekend. I think they handle Michigan after this bye week.
USC's win over LSU is still pulling some weight (although LSU looked less than impressive against the other USC). Let's see what happens when the Trojans go to Ann Arbor to face a familiar Rose Bowl foe.
