ThaCarter Ballot for 2022 Preseason

Overall Rationale: The new polling site is neat! In the preseason poll I tend to rely more heavily on qualitative factors such as a coaches history and perceived trajectory, as well as how schemes and structural factors impact their range of likely performances. From a method perspective, I tend to power rank and do comparisons that way, determining which teams in each conference deserve consideration, where they rank in that smaller sample, and then finally how the survivors should fit into the teams already ranked on my board. Starting with the G5 and working my way up has always tended to be the easiest. I have stayed away from creating a workbook but do pay attention too statistical profiles, other computer rankings, and will use them if I'm placing a team that I've watched and/or read too little about. Over the last 12(!) years, I've found that I've drifted away from the quantitative approach one might expect based on my day job, and have taken on a very old school, scouting based mindset.
