Overall Rationale: Using Beta_Rank as a template but factoring in coaching changes/transfers

1 Alabama Crimson Tide It's Alabama
2 Ohio State Buckeyes Beta_Rank had Ohio State at number 3 behind Georgia, but I gave the nod to the Buckeyes due to CJ Stroud
3 Georgia Bulldogs Replacing a lot of production on defense, but they've been recruiting at a level high enough to keep it rolling
4 Clemson Tigers Beta_Rank has Clemson at number 4, which does feel high but I don't see a compelling option to put ahead of them. Defense will be stout as always, just need to get some better production from the QB position.
5 Michigan Wolverines Replacing a ton on defense, but the offense should be able to replicate what it did last year
6 Utah Utes Beta_Rank has the Utes at number 9, but I slid them ahead of a couple of teams that had coaching changes.
7 Mississippi State Bulldogs This will definitely be controversial, but Beta_Rank has them at number 10. Mike Leach's offense should be able to hit the ground running in year 3, and their defense should be an improvement over last year given the amount of returning production.
8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Beta_Rank had them at number 5, decided to slide them down a couple spots due to having a 1st time head coach.
9 Oklahoma Sooners Similar to Notre Dame, Oklahoma was Beta_Rank's 8th best team
10 USC Trojans Beta_Rank's number 29 team gets a huge bump here due to the coaching change and influx of transfers. The model isn't equipped to handle such a massive change. There are questions on defense but offensively they should be really good.

18 Auburn Tigers Beta_Rank #16. Sliding down a tad because the boosters are looking for any reason to fire the coach, so essentially Auburn being Auburn. Also is Calzada an upgrade over Bo Nix? A downgrade? I have no idea.
19 Baylor Bears Beta_Rank had them clear down at number 50 but it would be silly to have them unranked. Dave Aranda gets the benefit of the doubt here
