Oh yes
Stanford indeed - Christian McCaffrey is gone, but truth be told there was
not much dropoff between him and Bryce Love when the two switched in and out.
QB play was a major problem for them last year, and it might be again this
year, but I'm going to go out on a limb in picking them to bounce back strong
offensively anyways. Stanford has a ridiculous amount of talent at QB and I
expect someone to emerge from the pile. The offensive line, at times a
weakness last year, should once again become a strength for the team - with
four returners and the two best linemen recruits in the nation coming in as
freshman. I expect 2017 to look much closer to 2015 than 2016. |

Don't get why Stanford keeps showing up around 15 - they still have a killer defense, get Kellen Chryst back at QB, and have a fantastic O-line. |

Stanford go 10-3 in the regular season. They beat USC early in the season to enter the playoff discussion. However they drop games to Washington and UCLA. Battling FSU for the 4th and final playoff spot they play vs USC in the Pac 12 CCG, but USC exacts revenge.  |

I'm also way higher on these guys than most people, but I think everybody is sleeping on Stanford this year because of their unspectacular (though by no means bad) season last year. I had a tough time deciding between Stanford and Wisconsin; Stanford should be a decent amount more talented and experienced, but Wisconsin does have an established quarterback. I went with Stanford for the overall quality of the team, but both should be very solid. |

Year in and year, Stanford has become a staple of consistency under Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw. This year should be no different. |

Stanford is a legitimate threat to win the Pac-12 this season. They get Washington at home and have a fairly dreamy schedule after their September 9th tilt with USC. Win those two games and they even have a shot at the CFP. The biggest problem is a common theme in the 11-15 portion of my ranking: does their offense have enough firepower to scratch out a win when their typically stout defense has an off day? |

See reasoning for #21, as Stanford's season will be royally fucked by Washington State late in the year. |

I have the weirdest respect for this coach. Dude says things that seem super douchey but then, upon reflection, I'm like "well. He has a point. A dickish point, but he has a point." Anyway, this is a good team. If Chryst is fully healthy, then they'll be a great team. If not, though... They might end the season lower than this. |
