AllHawkeyesGoToHell Ballot for 2017 Preseason

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Aug. 15, 2017, 1:15 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide This is the easiest spot to fill every single year. Saban, let another team enjoy this spot for once.
Ohio State Buckeyes So, in every preseason poll I've seen, they've been jumbled and randomized versions of every team from 2-8. They all feel very close together, even though some seem obviously higher than others. This batch of teams is where we are going to get out playoff 4.
USC Trojans
Florida State Seminoles
Washington Huskies
Oklahoma Sooners
Penn State Nittany Lions
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Wisconsin Badgers I might not like them, but they have a better team than last year, even if it's not quite championship caliber. It's still easily Top Ten.
Louisville Cardinals I feel pretty confident in Lamar Jackson, if Bobby Petrino wants to say he's not a bad coach, he'll get this team into a position to not drop three games after mid-October.
Clemson Tigers The Tigers lost football Jesus, along with a lot of other production. They aren't recruiting at the level of Alabama, Ohio State, or their in-conference rival, Florida State.
Kansas State Wildcats Bill Snyder, and another Bill (Connelly) pointed out that this season really looks a lot like the start to another 2012 Fiesta Bowl season.
Michigan Wolverines I understand they have insane talent, but they lose so much production and experience. Freshman and sophomores will make rookie mistakes, no matter how talented. They'll drop some balls they shouldn't, make a few bad reads, lose to a bottom-dweller, but pull off a stunning "upset."
USF Bulls Quentin Flowers and the Bulls disappointed last season, but I think they'll be even better this year.
Florida Gators
Stanford Cardinal
LSU Tigers
West Virginia Mountaineers Won 10 games last season, and they add in a talented Will Grier at QB
Tennessee Volunteers In a recent post, someone pointed out that Tennessee has been recruiting very, very well. Like, averaging a Top 10 class the last 4-5 years good. They don't deserve to be ranked that high, but with the talent on the field, I think they'll put together some decent wins, and proceed to get killed by Alabama in the first ever Third Saturday of October in the First Saturday of December.
Boise State Broncos
Texas A&M Aggies
Auburn Tigers
Nebraska Cornhuskers I'm a bit high on the Huskers. Mike Riley has to do something his third year, and he's brought in a couple transfers that I think will be enough to make this season a good 9-4, not a mediocre 9-4. Get a key victory somewhere in there.
Wyoming Cowboys Despite the loss of Brian Hill, the step forward that last year's woefully inexperienced defense will make under Craig Bohl will allow touted NFL QB prospect Josh Allen to tear up the Mountain West this season.
Washington State Cougars I know they'll be good. I know they will. But thanks to some stupid voodoo Palouse curse, I also know they'll lose to Montana State, AND THEN, figure it out and beat the shit out of everyone but the Huskies, Trojans and Utes.
