Knightro2011 Ballot for 2017 Preseason

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Aug. 17, 2017, 1:11 p.m.

Overall Rationale: First poll of mine will be human. Rest will all be computer formulas to show I am no better than Mark May sitting behind a desk at ESPN.Personal philosophy: If you are upset over a preseason poll, just think that it's like "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" where everything is made up and the points don't matter. Just like the grading at the University of North Carolina. So, I am putting a fun fact about each school that is ranked.

Rank Team Reason
1 Alabama Crimson Tide The University of Alabama has a men and women's wheelchair basketball program. This program is one of four in the country.
2 Ohio State Buckeyes In 1926, the student body of this school elected a cow to be its homecoming queen.

4 Florida State Seminoles In 1883 the school received a State charter to become the "Florida University" later changed to the "University of Florida". The main campus was located where FSU is today. The school had a college of medicine. FSU kept the title "University of Florida" until 1903. For some reason the name was never embraced and seldom used.
5 Georgia Bulldogs Women had their own set of rules to abide by at UGA between 1918 and 1967 where they weren't allowed to stay out past 11 pm, could not visit men's apartments and could not leave their dorms with curlers in their hair.
