This year's edition of the Cowboys has all the ingredients to challenge the 2011 team as Mike Gundy's best. Oklahoma State's second conference title in 40 years and a College Football Playoff berth could both be in the cards. |

I seem to be higher on this team than most, and that was the case last year as well. This could be Oklahoma State's breakout year, returning enough of their team to not face a dropoff from last year's play, and with questions about Oklahoma without Bob Stoops at the helm, the Big XII is theirs for the taking. A very favorable home schedule with most of the other Big XII titans having to play Oklahoma State on the road, they have their best shot at the conference title and a playoff birth this year. |

Oklahoma fits neatly behind Penn State on the "best offenses in the nation that have maybe some big questions on defense" - I put them slightly behind Penn State because they're in a conference where elite offenses can be neutered by other elite offenses a little easier. but still, the best QB/WR tandem in CFB paired with a potential bigtime breakout RB Justice Hill, and *enough* collective experience back that you want to believe this defense will improve marginally - altogether is pretty sweet.  |

They're going to put up so many points, and by rule, the team with the most points at the end of the game wins. |

Oklahoma State has the best offense in college football with the Heisman-hopeful Mason Rudolph under center, speedster receivers like Jalen McCleskey and James Washington near the sidelines, and the dynamic Justice Hill running the football. But we all know about the Pokes' history in Bedlam, even during the Gundy era. Can they beat that team from Norman twice in a single season to win the conference? |

Oklahoma State will be an offensive juggernaut this season.Their only question marks are on the defensive side of the ball, but with as good as this offense is, don't be surprised if they are able to win every track meet they find themselves in. |

If Mason Rudolph and James Washington don't combine for 90000 yards of offense this year I am going to be very upset. |

I keep switching TCU and Oklahoma State back and forth, trying to decide who I like more. In the end, I went with the team that is hosting. Because they are both talented, seasoned, and well-coached teams. |

WILD CARD, BITCHES! YEEEE HAWWWI expect only the Sooners to tame these Cowboys.  They may not be top 15 talent but they have an easy schedule and, with any luck, can cruise into a one-loss high bowl seed. |

I think the Cowboys are going to lose to both TCU and Texas, but it would be borderline criminal to not rank the mullet team in the preseason. |

Oklahoma State's offense should be incredible; I just don't trust that defense very much at all, and there's not nearly as much talent on their side as teams #1-12 (Louisville and Wisconsin are the only ones that come close - I know, I know, you're gonna say again that I shouldn't have put Louisville so high, just work with me here). Obviously Gundy knows what he's doing when it comes to getting the most out of players, but he's not known for being a defensive mastermind, and I have a hard time seeing them make it through the regular season and past the Big 12 title game without at least a few losses. |

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why everyone is so high on OkState. The defense was certifiably terrible last year, and they only improved it by losing their two top tacklers. Oh and that Taylor guy was pretty good, but he's gone now too! Sure, they'll put up points, but I think they'll have a good season with an even worse defense than last year, and will more than likely get rolled in bedlam.   |

Oklahoma State get both Oklahoma and TCU at home but their defensive deficiencies will likely keep them from winning a conference title. Mike Gundy's crew will always be able to put up points but they also need to prevent them like they did against WVU and Colorado last season. I'm not convinced the late surge will carry over. |
