Auburn got a nice win over Oregon on a neutral site. I think this was the best win of the season so far.  |

This is where my belief of accomplishments over how you played starts showing itself as Auburn probably isn't the 3rd best team in the nation but they had the best win this week and I probably shouldn't have doubted odd year Auburn. |

1/3 in Tier B: Beat the best opponent (Oregon) of the teams in this tier, so they get to be here for now. |

Auburn makes the jump to #5 after the most impressive win of the week over Oregon just. 4 teams above them played great games all 4 quarters. |

I said it in the preseason poll and I'll say it again. Auburn is going to win 10 games this year, maybe more. The magic of the chaos gods was with them as they stumbled to a victory over Oregon. The Tigers had no good reason to win that game, but they did. I don't care that they play at Texas A&M, LSU, and Florida this year. I don't care that they host Georgia and Alabama. Nothing can upset the chaos gods' plans. |

I'm skeptical about Auburn being a Top 10 team, but they deserve credit for beating Oregon at a neutral site. |

Auburn won against one of the top PAC-12 teams. I am not 100% convinced they are ready for the main stage, their QB still needs some time to develop, but he came in clutch when it was needed. |

Auburn probably should have lost this game but they pulled a great win out in the end and spared the SEC's blushes after a less-than-stellar weekend. I think it says as much about how good Oregon is that Auburn barely managed to overcome them. |

(+15) Best win of the
weekend. Auburn is a question mark and probably still is, but they have
potential to be good. Could go 10-2. Could also go 6-6. |

Biggest riser, up ten spots. Yell at me if you want, but don't get cocky: they were lucky not to trail 28-3, and I highly doubt they could have punched themselves off the ropes at that point. Although Oregon exposed major vulnerabilities -- 13/31 with two picks...yikes -- the running game looked phenomenal, and I am officially elevating Auburn to conference contender. |

So not the best showing with a late win, but Bo Nix is young and should improve. Also barely moved them up anyways |
PHubbs

They have the most impressive win of anybody in week 1, but it looked downright ugly at times. Auburn has a break your legs defense with a looked-his-age QB on offense. Bo Nix seemed to get better with every drive so we might be just a few games away from seeing the next great Auburn QB. They need to make several improvements just to finish better than 4th in their division, but that defense should keep every game close enough for them to surprise people. |

People are over-ranking Auburn in my view post Oregon win. Oregon had preseason hype, and while there was reason for that, Auburn(who I had unranked in preseason) beat them in classic Auburn style: barely. While Auburn's run defense looked elite, no other aspect of their game looked spectacular. Bo Nix was by no means a powerhouse for Auburn(13 of 31 passing with 2 TDs and 2 INTs), but he at least looked like he wasn't just some typical wide eyed true freshman. A team solidly in the top 20 and barely in the top 15 seems about right until they answer more questions. |

The Tigers are lucky Bo Nix found his feet in his first game. And that Oregon didn't call more meshes to rip their zone apart at the seams. (NEW) |
