peachios Ballot for 2019 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 3, 2019, 10:15 p.m.

Overall Rationale: I apparently forgot to submit my first one? I am unsure as I worked on it for a few  hours...

Rank Team Reason
Clemson Tigers were my number 1 team and showed no signs of moving. First week also is pretty eh of course. ETN did work, hopefully your QB can return to form though
Alabama Crimson Tide Tua showing off, defense did well, backs weren't the best though
Georgia Bulldogs a team with a conference test is interesting, granted not much of one, really this is now sort of my preseason poll again now... and georgia was here
Michigan Wolverines I had them higher than many folks, they did alright the first week, maybe not as good as I hoped but its week one and they didnt lose
LSU Tigers the SEC is way too stacked I don't think any team in my top 10 moved from pre season anyways
Texas Longhorns Not Maryland seem a a good starting point for Texas teams
Oklahoma Sooners Well the defense seems to be normal/got the best (granted 14 in the fourth likely means it was meh playing). Jalen though did work, heisman oklahoma jokes abound
Ohio State Buckeyes I said  I had them lower than others cause QB and coaching changes, even though they are still stacked. Plus "lower" at 8 isn't that much
Florida Gators Not sure if I would say their first week was strong, the QB play is worrisome, the defnese seemed great though
Texas A&M Aggies A great looking team that will likely suffer from a stiff schedule and not being at the top. 2 teams in their division are above them, then they also have to play #1 away. and away to the another team ranked above them in their conference... I feel bad
Notre Dame Fighting Irish haven't played yet, seem like a strong ish team whose record could be lower than the pre-season polls.
Washington Huskies Eason looked great... which is unfortunate for my alma mater. They atm, look the top of the P12 and the north, but its early going and we should learn more soon
Auburn Tigers So not the best showing with a late win, but Bo Nix is young and should improve. Also barely moved them up anyways
Penn State Nittany Lions Seeing as how I grew up equaldistant to pullman and moscow I feel bad for Idaho. Penn State looked great in replacing their stars, and their coach has proved his worth again and again
Utah Utes While the P12 looks not playoff bound with all these high but not top tier teams, Utah looks to continue to own the south with their defense
Oregon Ducks unfortunate start for the Ducks they showed off a lot of good, but the coaching staff and some screw ups ended with a loss. They might be able to talent over most the schedule, but it does likely swing things in the Hooskers favor in the P12 north
UCF Knights didn't play a great team, but shutting any team out seems pretty impressive
Wisconsin Badgers Perhaps after last years downturn this is a mirage, but Wisconsin look ready to try and run through the B10 west
Boise State Broncos Should be an interesting race between UCF and Boise as the G5 top (yes Cincy, and others can show) strong win I think against FSU as well
Iowa Hawkeyes Perhjaps the class of the state of Iowa after Iowa State got a scare.
Syracuse Orange Thankfully beat Liberty
Michigan State Spartans Not a super strong win, but MSU isn't known for giant point blowouts
Cincinnati Bearcats Beating UCLA is a good start, even if they might be bad again
Army West Point I'm no coward, this week, I was preseason I think though
Washington State Cougars So I didn't have them ranked last week, but they looked great against a bad team. Best of all is the QB whisperer leach seems to be doing what he does best. At least for one week.
