TaylorLeprechaun Ballot for 2017 Week 2

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 4, 2017, 11:39 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Dropped out: Texas (24) and NC State (25)

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide +0: The tide keep rolling with a big win over a great FSU team.
USC Trojans +2: Good win over WMU gives them the jump over t0SU
Ohio State Buckeyes -1: Didn't play well against Indiana for much of the game.  For that I'm giving them a bump.
Clemson Tigers +1: If that game was any indication of how well their "reloading" is going to go, then this team will be very good down the stretch.
Penn State Nittany Lions +1: Zipped by the zips.
Oklahoma Sooners +1: Good win over UTEP.
Washington Huskies +1: Underperformed but still got the W.
Florida State Seminoles -5: Played very well against Bama.  Unfortunately, the loss of Francois will probably be a BIG issue for this team.  They still have the talent to win most of their games, but the lack of experience at QB could hurt them in the long run.
Oklahoma State Cowboys +1: Got the W over Tulsa.
Michigan Wolverines -1: This is a very good Michigan team.  The only issue I see is at the QB position.  If they can minimize Speight's mistakes they will be very well off.
Wisconsin Badgers +0: Good showing against Utah State, but not enough for them to jump anyone above them.
LSU Tigers +0: Good win against BYU (who I thought would win, personally).
Auburn Tigers +0: Good win, not enough to jump anyone.
Georgia Bulldogs +2: Eason's injury could harm this team, but Fromm looked promising.  Performed better than I expected, especially without their starting QB gives them the jump over Louisville (and a Florida team that lost).
Louisville Cardinals -1: Lamar Jackson showed off his Heisman winning skill once again.  It seemed like once again it was him trying to drag his team to a W with their performance against the Purdue Spoilermakers.  Time will tell if the rest of the team can keep up with him.
Virginia Tech Hokies +2: A solid win over a good WVU team gives them the jump.
Miami Hurricanes +2: Got the W over Bethune-Cookman.  Jumps up by way of losses ahead of them.
Stanford Cardinal +3: Jesus that was a big win.  Beat Rice like they owed them money.
West Virginia Mountaineers -2: Played well but came out with a L.
Kansas State Wildcats +2: Got the W.
Utah Utes +2: Got the W.
USF Bulls -2: Won against SJSU in Week 0, but that performance against Stony Brook was baaaad, and for that they drop a couple spots.
Florida Gators -8: I might be a little harsh with this one, but that's because it's easier to be hard on yourself than on others.  The loss was to a good Michigan team, but something has to change for Florida.  The offense was beyond bad and once again our D kept us in the game until they couldn't any longer.  A favorable home schedule could give the team the time it needs to develop.
Colorado Buffaloes Previoussly NR: Got the W over Colorado State.  They had success last season, so we'll see if they can keep it up.
Idaho Vandals Previously NR: This ones a bit of a joke, but since it's their last season in FBS, and they are 1-0, I'll give them a vote at 25th.
