I believe there is a chance they could get left out if BYU and Alabama both win their conference title games, but that is part of the risk that Notre Dame faces with not being in a conference

I WANT Notre Dame in it. I think they can win it all this year. But HTH matters. It just has to. Win your damn games. But I also think Conferences are stupid and way too big.

Losses to my #7 A&M (at home by 1) and #11 Miami (away by 3 in the season opener), show they're a competitive team, and they've beaten a fairly good USC, a decent Pitt team, and blew out a decent Navy team, but I don't think this necessitates that they be any higher than this. I would have them round out a 12-team playoff if no G5 team takes the final spot, but I cannot think of any arguments for them to be ranked higher than any of the teams above them.

ceris13	13	1st team out for me. Two losses, no conference championship. Only benefit for ND is they are both quality losses and they have name recognition. They won't miss it, but I would rather see BYU with only the one loss. Both Oklahoma and Alabama have better resumes for 10-2 teams. Wins all year were dominant, but none were over all that impressive of opponents.
