Texas has a sneakily difficult final stretch of the season against the likes of Arkansas, Kentucky, and Texas A&M, all of which have (in my view) at least a 30% chance of beating the Longhorns. It is actually worse for Texas that UGA fell this week, but even after reevaluating everyone's resumes, they are still have one of the more solid 1 loss resumes. They do control their own destiny, seeing as they face off against TAMU to end the season. Could be a winner take all for Big 12 title game/CFP bid. They need to watch out for Arkansas & Kentucky firth though as they have proven mighty roadblocks for the SEC this year. |

Texas has had the unfortunate luck of playing teams when they were hyped/ranked (Michigan and Oklahoma) and then having to watch as those teams fall apart and those wins lose their luster. They still look great, but without any marquee wins and a blowout loss at home against a 2-loss team on the resume, Texas badly needs a win that they can really stake their resume on. |
