kamiller2020 3 Can Texas replicate last year's offense? That's the question Longhorn fans will need to see answer if they want to see Texas secure it's first national title since '05. Last season Quinn Ewers made massive improvements in his deep ball accuracy and overall touch that led him to having the caliber of season people expected from one of the highest-rated HS prospects ever. But the loss of Worthy and Mitchell means it'll be more on Quinn to lead the offense if transfers Isiah Bond and Silas Bolden don't translate their flashes of talent to consistent production. The loss of CJ Baxter is a massive blow as well, but the hope is Jaydon Blue can take a bigger role to pair with one of the best OLines in CFB which future first-rounder Kelvin Banks Jr headlines. Defensively Texas should have one of the more underrated units in the country with Trey Moore being the big name player.

Zloggt 5 It's a big herd of cattle is back, in a newfangled grazing space that JUST MEANS MORE!!!! But tired joke aside, there must be quite the hype - and worry - surrounding this upcoming season in Austin. But you know...Texas is Texas, so I'm sure they'll do fine. Especially with their new 'croots, and also the famed Quinny Ewers at QB as well...though I do wanna see if the famed nepobaby Arch will eventually take the field at least once this year (though he's a redshirt so I doubt it lol).

Charlemagne42 21 Texas is coming off a semifinal appearance, a conference championship, and their best season since Mack Brown was in Austin. They return their starting QB, most of their OL, and a significant chunk of run production, as well as retaining their complete offensive staff. The Longhorns also have the easiest conference schedule in the SEC, and as of this preseason ranking are favored against everyone they play except Georgia. How do they end up at 21? Defense. The Texas faithful are expecting to see an old-school 2012-era SEC, unused to defending against a lethal air attack and reliant on their own ground game to batter you to bits. What they'll see instead is Mississippi State's air raid, Vanderbilt's pass rush, and Florida's interim head coach. While the Horns will likely win all three of those games, they may be unprepared for the humility of losing to three rivals in a single season. Texas will give up more yards this season than ever in their history, thanks to a chart of defensive returners that looks more like a one-deep than a three-deep.

FlashSpider-man 2 I think Ewers may be the best qb in the league, at least going into the year. There is value to having that. Unfortunately, I'm putting them at 2

xX_GIGA_MAN_Xx 4 Back? Again? so soon? I don't think they run the SEC their first year, I think they probably go like 9-3/10-2 but that would most likely be good enough for a playoff bid. Ewers is a good QB and they have plenty of talent surrounding him both offensively and defensively, so they'll be fine.

CriterionCrypt 5 Texas was gifted a relatively easy conference schedule, and while I think Ole Miss is a better team, I see Texas in the SEC title game. They have a great QB room, but losses on the D-Line and a weak secondary could spell trouble.
