They'll drop another in-conference down the stretch, but miss the conference championship at 10-2 thanks to 9-3 Oklahoma State's shenanigans.

xX_GIGA_MAN_Xx	19	Lance Leipold is heading into his fourth year at Kansas, continuing a shocking turnaround that haunts me to this day (that 2022 WVU v Kansas game still pisses me off man FUCK). He still has an overall losing record at Kansas, but that's really dragged down by his first year with a 2-10 record. Jalon Daniels returns for his I-have-zero-clue (is he a senior??? does he still have covid year??) year, and will be able to lead the Jayhawks to a very good season. They have a relatively easy non-conference schedule, with Illinois being the only difficult game. They should start the season off 3-0 and have a ranked matchup against WVU in September. After that, they have a relatively light conference schedule, avoiding both Oklahoma State and Utah, with their main challenges being Iowa State and Kansas State. The Sunflower Showdown this year could be a deciding factor in who makes the playoff this season. We will see if the Jayhawks are up to it.

CriterionCrypt	24	Leipold has Kansas really coming into their own. He has legitimized Kansas in a way that they haven't seen since the Mangino years. Kansas has one of the most favorable schedules in this country and should be 7-0 going into their big showdown with Kansas State. While I think Kansas State is a better team overall, Kansas' schedule makes them dark horses for the Big XII title game.
