crownebeach | 17 | FPI gives Pitt a 9.5% chance of repeating as ACC champ. The ACC is quite a bit stronger this year, but that still feels low -- of what I think are the top five ACC teams (Clemson, NC State, Pitt, FSU, and North Carolina), Pitt has the best balance between offense and defense. |

PumpSmash | 19 | Other than that rough week 2 loss to Tennessee, Pittsburgh has still been having a solid season. Kenny Pickett is definitely missed, but I would argue almost all of the rest of their games are winnable? They should still be the favorite to win the Coastal. |

JB_Gibson | 16 | The AP has the Panthers ranked at 24. I think this is under selling what they're capable of. If Slovis doesn't go out, I'm sorry Tennessee, Pitt wins that game. I think the season will wear on them some, but they're still a top 20 team. |

Comit22 | 20 | A very solid win against a FCS team. Would have liked to see a stronger outing, but given the losses this week, they move up just by virtue of winning the game. |

Dawg-Bite | 25 | There were a bunch of teams I considered for 25. Texas Tech, Wake, LSU, Syracuse, Oregon State, Kansas, Wazzu, but at the end of the day half of those teams have a loss from yesterday, competitive or not. Syracuse also struggled and I’m just not totally buying in on the Kansas hype until they best Iowa State and maybe someone else. It was between LSU, Texas Tech, and Pitt for this spot and I ultimately settled on Pitt because they took my #4 team to OT, which I feel is more impressive than the almost wins LSU, Wake, Wazzu, and Oregon State had over other top 25 teams. I think there could be an argument for Texas Tech after beating Texas who was #12 in my rankings last week, but I honestly feel like Pitt might be better rn plus Texas Tech has a chance to prove themselves against Kansas State this upcoming week. |
