Well you have to be pretty excited if your a ducks fan.  Sure the losing sucks but you looked like one of 3ish teams setting themselves up for Pac-12 title run.  Still probably trust Washington and Utah's coaching staff more but they have a raw talent advantage across the depth chart on Utah. |

For one glorious half, Oregon absolutely pushed Auburn around -- the Ducks *dominated* field position, and the Tigers needed a crazy series of breaks (that baffling fumble...) just to survive to the half. Oregon was the better team and I'm sticking with that, but they're on thin ice going forward. |

Oregon looked really good but made some boneheaded moves in the second half. Auburn capitalized on these mistakes. |

I like Oregon a lot still. I think they'll find their way into the Top 5 at some point this year. But I also hope they lose to Nevada so I can rank Nevada. |

Oregon passed the ball well, but couldn't establish a ground game against what should be one of the best run defenses in the nation. While the loss is disappointing for the Ducks and the Pac 12, Oregon looked like they were just about every bit as good as Auburn and the cards just didn't go their way. I will slot them one under the Tigers for now. |

unfortunate start for the Ducks they showed off a lot of good, but the coaching staff and some screw ups ended with a loss. They might be able to talent over most the schedule, but it does likely swing things in the Hooskers favor in the P12 north |

Per above, Oregon looked great against a very good Auburn team in an outright slugfest. Herbert is one of the best QBs in the nation and he's surrounded by talent. I don't like overcrediting teams for losing games, but 0-1 Oregon still looks better than a bunch of teams that won. |

First half Oregon goes to the playoff. Second half Oregon loses to a true freshman. They have plenty of time to recover, but the highest preseason ranked Pac12 team looks several steps behind Washington right now. |

Oregon really disappointed me this weekend. I knew Auburn would win due to the magic of chaos, but I didn't think the Ducks would give the game away. A dropped TD, a missed FG, and some terrible time management near the end of the game all worked to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I still think they are a talented team, I just now worry about how well coached they are. |

I always have a tough time ranking a winless team in the Top 25, but I think a little credit should be given for playing a team like Auburn in Week 1. Especially when it took some late-game heroics by the other team for you to lose. |

Speaking of which. Herbert needs the support of better play design. Leaning on Verdell's talent to open it up would have won that game. (-2) Dropped: Iowa State (from 11); South Carolina (from 15); Mississippi State (from 21); Ohio (from 25) |
