Overall Rationale: I basically took a combination of Sagarin, Massey, and FPI then added in a weight for returning starters + returning QB. Not super scientific, but its a decent place to start. AVG(Sagarin,Massey,FPI)+[20000/(Total Returners + Returning Starting QB)^4] = My Fun Ranking Score. Only doing this for preseason. Notable discrepancies between the Computer Avgs vs. the final rank when including returning starters: - Texas - falls 23 spots (#16 to #39)- Washington - falls 17 spots (#13 to #30) - Stanford - falls 12 spots (#22 to #34) - Cincinnati - rises 9 spots (#35 to #26) - Minnesota - rises 11 spots (#36 to #22)
