But the young man loved football and decided to hang in there. He was
determined to try his best at every practice, and perhaps he would get to
play when he became a senior.
+ 1 spot (previously 6). Miami finally earned that strong win against Virginia Tech. Arguing them over Wisconsin is a back and forth fight. Next weeks Notre Dame game will truly decide whether or not they should be in the Playoffs as they will either lose and drop back, or take down Notre Dame dropping one person out of the top 4.
Similar to Georgia. Even with one loss, I think Clemson is better and would win if they meet in the conference championship game. That opinion may change.
Miami finally convinced me of their worth with a sound victory against the Hokies. They'll have their hands full with seemingly unstoppable Notre Dame this weekend.
Miami deserves to hop Wisconsin for several reasons, not least of which the fact that Miami has actually played several tough opponents, including Virginia Tech, who had only one other loss at the time of their meeting. Very related and nearly the same reason is the simple strength of schedule. Wisconsin ain't played nobody.
