T-Thugs Ballot for 2017 Week 11

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 6, 2017, 9:27 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Undefeated. Also has the best win in the nation with their win over Notre Dame.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Irish win again. Their wins over Michigan State and USC look better today.
Oklahoma Sooners Sooners get a huge win over Oklahoma State in the bedlam game. Oklahoma now the team to beat in the Big 12. Also have a solid win over Ohio State.
Miami Hurricanes Miami remains undefeated and now has an impressive win over Virginia Tech on the resume.
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama remains undefeated. I have trouble bumping them up to the top though as their best win by far is over 3 loss LSU.
Clemson Tigers Clemson has a rough loss to Syracuse. They have a bunch of solid wins, but lack the great wins that Oklahoma and ND have. Best win is Virginia Tech, who got handled by Miami yesterday.
TCU Horned Frogs Best win is Oklahoma State. Also have a win over West Virginia. Only loss is to Iowa State.
UCF Knights UCF remains undefeated. Best win is over 8-1 Memphis.
Wisconsin Badgers Wisconsin remains undefeated but has zero wins worth mentioning. They did finally look like a top team against an inferior opponent this weekend, though. Best win is Northwestern.
USC Trojans Trojans followed up their beating from Notre dame with back to back impressive wins over the Arizona schools.
Washington State Cougars Washington State has a really good win over USC and also has a win over Stanford.
Michigan State Spartans Michigan State now has wins over Michigan and Penn State. Losses to Notre Dame and Northwestern. If they beat Ohio State next week, they will likely win the Big Ten East.
Ohio State Buckeyes Buckeyes got a beatdown from Iowa this week. They have a nice win over Penn State, though.
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State blew it in their game against Michigan State this weekend. Big Ten championship and playoff dreams are basically dead. They have decent wins over Iowa and Northwestern.
Auburn Tigers Losses to Clemson and LSU. Best win is over Mississippi State.
Oklahoma State Cowboys Oklahoma state lost a heartbreaker to Oklahoma this weekend . A win could have had them in the top 6-7. With the loss, though, Oklahoma State lacks real quality in wins. They have a decent win over West Virginia, who upset Iowa state this weekend.
Washington Huskies Washington only has 1 loss, but doesn't really have any impressive wins.
Memphis Tigers Only loss is to UCF. Wins over Houston and UCLA.
Mississippi State Bulldogs Bulldogs have 2 losses and struggled a bit with UMASS this weekend, but they have a decent win over LSU. They play Alabama next week and could prove they belong higher.
Virginia Tech Hokies Hokies blew their big chance this weekend against Miami. A win would have had them sitting pretty with a chance to finish 11-1. They could still go 10-2 but they lack the quality wins. Best win is over West Virginia.
Iowa State Cyclones Iowa State has three losses but has really good wins over both Oklahoma and TCU. My top 3 loss team.
Northwestern Wildcats Northwestern also has 3 losses and one is really bad, but they have wins over Michigan State and Iowa.
Iowa Hawkeyes Iowa now has a great win in dominating fashion over Ohio State. They also have a nice win over Iowa State and played a very close game with Penn State. I left them behind Iowa State because the Cyclones have two better wins. Also behind Northwestern because NW won head to head and beat Michigan State.
Toledo Rockets Toledo is 8-1 and their only loss is to Miami.
Michigan Wolverines I would love to leave Michigan out of my rankings entirely, especially since they have lost to the only 2 good teams they have played, but there really isn't anyone else who deserves to be in above them. They do win the games against the bad teams they are supposed to beat. Their last 2 games are against Wisconsin and Ohio State, so they can prove they belong.
