Overall Rationale: I have this thing I do where I refuse to look at preseason polls, so if I missed someone major that's probably why.

1 Clemson Tigers as much as Dabo's sanctimonious bullshit gets old, they still have probably the best collection of talent in the weakest major conference. I think there's a 50% chance they win every game by 2 scores
2 Alabama Crimson Tide Ugh.
3 Oklahoma Sooners Jalen Hurts is not Kyler Murray, but he doesn't have to be. Despite the Ohio State kerfuffle, I think Alex Grinch is a really really good coach and the defense will improve.
4 Georgia Bulldogs They return a lot, and will have to find a new and exciting way to lose to Bama.
5 Ohio State Buckeyes Ryan Day is the next Lincoln Riley, because there's no God and nothing we do matters.
6 Florida Gators Dan Mullen's never fucked a shark, right?
7 Texas Longhorns Yeehaw
8 Michigan Wolverines Josh Gattis firebomb my house, lacerate my kidneys with shrapnel, just fucking stuff me in a trash compactor
9 LSU Tigers Man, I know all the evidence thus far points to the contrary, but I can't get over the idea that Coach O isn't a great coach.
10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish They just lost their best WR, but should still slot into the "good" tier of teams.
11 Penn State Nittany Lions Hunches: After a year of residual Moorhead, the offense takes a step back because Ricky Rahne might not be good at his job. Also, the defense keeps them in every game.
12 Utah Utes The best team in the PAC 12 I have at 12 overall, so that's not great.
13 Iowa State Cyclones Big Brock Purdy guy.
14 Washington Huskies Is Jacob Eason Elite?
15 Michigan State Spartans I have a sinking sensation that the offense will somehow improve, just due to everyone getting healthy. The defense will be the best in the conference.
16 Texas A&M Aggies The cupboard is filling up.
17 Oregon Ducks Not sold on Cristobal.
18 Mississippi State Bulldogs Unstoppable Sex God Tommy Stevens knows the offense, and if they can take off and actually complete passes they could be really good this year.
19 UCF Knights Brandon Wimbush is Brandon Wimbush, but that might be enough.
20 Army West Point Oh fuck me why are we playing them.
21 Iowa Hawkeyes It's still mind boggling to me that Iowa had TWO OFFENSIVE SKILL PLAYERS TAKEN IN THE TOP 20 OF THE DRAFT. In less surprising news, they managed to still be bad on offense.
22 Stanford Cardinal It kinda feels like Stanford has had a slow downward trend over the past 4-5 years.

24 Cincinnati Bearcats Fickell got them turned around way faster than I thought.
