D1amondDude | 5 | Similar to what I said about Oklahoma - do I think UCF is better than some of the other teams on this list?  No.  Do I think UCF loses to anyone in the American short of maybe (and that's a strong maybe at that) Memphis and Cincinnati?  Also no.  I like to approach my rankings as much from a "where will they finish up" stance as much as "how good are they?"  While I think there are teams that on their best days would beat UCF on their best day, I don't think those teams are on UCF's schedule.  Plus, this team is supposed to be better than the 2017 National Champion UCF Knights. |

Maladroit44 | 9 | +11 | 76.3 | The #7 preseason team entering the spring (though only #15 by the evidently cowardly AP Poll), UCF's playoff chances are hovering right around 'possible, but definitely unlikely'. They'll need to be lucky to get in even if they're undefeated; we'll see how the needle moves over the course of the season. |

crownebeach | 15 | UCF was 10-0 in games where Dillon Gabriel didn't throw an interception, and 0-3 in games where he did. If his play this year reflects all the experience gained a year ago, the Knights will run the table. |

NyquillusDillwad20 | 18 | It was difficult to pick between UCF and Cinci for highest G5 spot, but I gave Cinci the slight edge. The AAC should be exciting this year, and who knows what could happen if they have an undefeated champ. |
