Overall Rationale: This early in the season, my algorithm really doesn't have enough data to work with, and the strict human adjustment parameters I allowed myself only let me inform decisions between teams that have equal wins and losses, especially (eventually) in situations where head to head matchups matter. In my algorithm, P5 conferences hold the same weight, G5 conferences hold the same slightly lower weight, and FCS teams hold the same much lower rate. Therefore, a P5 team who is 1-0 but beat another P5 team will be ranked higher than a 1-0 P5 team that beat a G5 team, etc. For my human adjustments, all P5 conferences hold the same weight. I differently weight G5 by splitting it into two tiers: AAC/MWC, and everybody else. This is only for human adjustment, not for the actual algorithm. It only matters once the math runs out, and gives me a pretty firm set of rules to work within when adjusting my algorithm (which is, far and away, the huge percentage of date that makes it into this poll). I weight wins first and foremost, which is why you'll see every team with a 2-0 record in the top 5. Any team who beat a P5 team to be 1-0 occupies the next tier. The third tier is the most heavily human informed, because I weight P5 teams more strongly, so the 1-0 P5 teams that I think played and beat the best G5 teams out of the remaining group of CFB teams occupy the last few spots.

6 Colorado Buffaloes Colorado is the first of the 1-0 teams on the list. Any P5 team who has beaten another P5 team will receive the heaviest weight, even more so if they won at their opponent's stadium like Colorado did.

8 Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State beat a P5 team in their own house to be 1-0
9 Louisville Cardinals Louisville beat a P5 team in their own house to be 1-0
