_Brazenhead_	5	I really struggled with where to put Minnesota given their huge win over Penn State. They are undefeated, and despite the huge question marks about their early wins, beating a team the caliber of Penn State retroactively validates the past winning they did. Their defense seems to be not very great but they have proven that offensively, they are a force to be reckoned with.
ACCBiggz	5	A rather large late-season jump, and I did struggle with putting them over UGA given the OOC schedule. However, the performance against Penn State and being undefeated should garner them a big rise. They'll confirm their position against Iowa and Wisconsin or drop. No big deal, they control their destiny.

moistats_	5	I finally have the satisfaction to put Minnesota in the top 5 due to their monumental win against Penn State. Minnesota is one of the few teams left that are undefeated and the win against Penn State scored a 97 (A+ mind you) in the ESPN FPI. The performance against a former Top 5 team is something not a lot of teams have on their resume. What is holding them back from being playoff bound? Ohio State in the B1G Championship (which will be likely). Just for the love of God don't lose against Iowa.

crownebeach	11	Minnesota's offense is championship-caliber. I'm still not sold on the defense; it got bailed out by some Penn State drops and some Clifford overthrows. But Minnesota as a playoff team isn't a crazy idea.

I have them significantly above where FPI would have them based on eye test but I can only ignore the computer numbers, and their poor showing in the season's first month, to a certain extent. The same ranking system also gives them the #4 Strength of Record, which makes this a perfect time to reiterate that if my ballot were a resume ranker I would have them much closer to, if not in, the Playoff at the current moment. The good news for the Gophers is that, with games against Iowa and Wisconsin and a potential CCG, they are going to have plenty of additional opportunities to bolster their ranking.

JeromesNiece	17	Good win for Minnesota against Penn State. Unfortunately for them, I'm not yet convinced they are better than the teams I have ranked above them. They got outgained by PSU and got pretty lucky with turnovers. They are three point dogs to Iowa, and I think they will lose that one and ultimately fall to Wisconsin to lose the Big Ten West.
