Overall Rationale: Understandably a way too early poll, but I think this accurately reflects the state of CFB in the moment. Not all teams have explanations because this is the preseason and some teams just sit where they sit by virtue of being bookended by clearly better or worse teams. Explanations for all teams will come after Week 1.

1	Alabama Crimson Tide	Defending national champion, #1 recruiting class, A&M and Auburn at home, I'm confident right now in the Tide.
2	Georgia Bulldogs	Defending runner-ups, no major losses to the program, and definitely on the upswing history-wise. Here's waiting to see if Kirby keeps the standards up for year 2 or if it's a fluke.
3	Wisconsin Badgers
4	Clemson Tigers
5	Miami Hurricanes	I like Richt's chances in year two. Banking on the second-year bump.
6	Michigan State Spartans	With Ohio State possibly out of the picture in the near future and MSU playing UM and OSU at home, I think they legitimately have a shot at a B10 title, assuming they can get past Wisconsin.
7	Oklahoma Sooners	Perennial B12 contenders at this point but still unsure if they're going to be okay with the QB situation without Mayfield
8	Ohio State Buckeyes	Low, I know, but this is until Urban's status is secure one way or the other. I think no small amount of tOSU's success is due to him, and without him I think the Buckeyes suffer.
9	Penn State Nittany Lions
10	Auburn Tigers	I see Auburn right now as on a downswing with a disappointing end to 2017. Hopefully they prove me wrong.
11	Washington Huskies
12	UCF Knights	#disrespek
13	Michigan Wolverines
14	Texas Longhorns	Again, second year bump plays a factor here. Easily the most unreliable vote on this ballot but it's for #itoldyouso points.

17	Notre Dame Fighting Irish

19	TCU Horned Frogs
20	Virginia Tech Hokies
