The Clemson win's value is suddenly in question, and LSU's struggles with Louisiana Tech aren't providing easy answers. Not dethroned for now, but LSU needs to prove it fast.
Not that it really matters...but woof, the Tigahs would have been far more scrunitized had they NOT beaten Clemson last week (who are also not doing the best of their share of the deal either)...
LSU is 2-0 with a quality win over Clemson. I dropped them a couple spots though because Clemson did not look like a great team against Troy and I'm not sure this is as good of a win as I thought last week. It will probably stay a quality win, but who knows.
[2-0] (-4) | 2024 Record: 9-4 (T-4th Place in the SEC) | 2025 Results: W 17-10 @ Clemson Tigers [1-1], W 23-7 vs Louisiana Tech Bulldogs [1-1] | NEXT: vs Florida Gators [1-1]
Not moved up too much because the Clemson win dropped in strength quite a bit and they didn't look as good themselves - Good example of why I waited til this week
Clemson win doesn't look that amazing after they struggled with Troy, and effort against Louisiana Tech was somewhat lackluster, but there's not enough information to truly ding them much.
I did punish LSU and Georgia for not annihilating their FCS opponents. And maybe that's not fair. But I expect the heralded "best conference in the country" to handily beat an FCS foe and not struggle to win by just two scores.
