LOL Brian Kelly is still Brian Kelly. I expect the Tigers to be the offensive powerhouse they were last year... and fall short like they did last year. |

Heartbreaking loss from LSU, but LSU is that one team that bounces back from a Week 1 loss and stays good enough to stay ranked in the Top 25, but with how loaded the SEC is, LSU will likely not make the CFP. |

Tier 4. Lost a 50/50 game against top 15 team at neutral site. I don't think they should be punished too much. |

Another disappointing opening loss for the Tigers in what has become tradition since the magical Joe Burrow season. The defense looked better at times compared to last season's defense, if you can call it that. But the lack of Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers was apparent with only 20 points scored, although I would argue this offense didn't catch many breaks in this game and will pick up steam moving forward. |

Real tough loss for the Tigers. Brian Kelly Syndrome aside, I thought they looked quite nice and should be in for a rewarding season. |

The Year that Brian Kelly finally gets over the hump as head coach and wins something significant....is not this year. At least I don't think it will be. |

not really that bad of a loss, either one of Southern Cal or LSU could end up making a run in the winter if they figure everything out and everything lines up, so this game is probably meaningless. |

LSU loses yet another season opener. People will make fun of them for this, but I will give LSU credit for scheduling actual teams to start the season to make things interesting for us people who rank the teams. |

Tough loss for the Tigers, but nothing to worry about just yet. Nussmeier looked good against a surprisingly stout USC defense, LSU just needs to find a way to finish drives. |

For what it's worth, LSU does have decent success over the last two years and they played a ranked USC team to a draw through 59 minutes and 51 seconds on a neutral field. Not the best way to start the year, but Brian Kelly and his squad have chances to execute and move back up over the next few weeks. I had considered Boise State, Georgia Tech, SMU, NC State, Clemson, Texas A&M, Iowa State, Nebraska, Memphis, and a few others for these last few spots, but they all didn't quite make it. |
