Part of me is putting Wake Forest this high because I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to, but part of me was legitimately impressed with how ell this season went for them. If this momentum could be carried forward it would be incredible. #19 in SoR is nothing to scoff at, far from the worst here.
Wake Forest has a top 15 offense but a bottom 15 defense.  They can score on just about anybody but the defense is so bad that it puts the pressure on the offense to score 42 per game.  That's what happened against Pitt and in their 3 losses over the last 5 games.
Wake Forest dropped the ACC championship game against Pittsburgh, leaving their resume headlined by a home win against NC State and a road win in a shootout against Army (those are words I never expected to say...). After that, they have the wins against the mediocre 6-6 teams of the ACC, but they actually lost to one (UNC on the road). Their other losses are to Clemson on the road and Pitt in the ACC CCG (as mentioned earlier). The H2H and weaker losses keep them below Clemson.
