Overall Rationale: Trying as much as I can to judge without any preseason bias, but inherently preseason bias will factor into the quality of week 1 wins. And a poll without Georgia in the top 5, for example - despite their first half, seems a little overreactive. Generally by about Week 3 or 4, once everyone has played at least one P5 opponent, I try to ignore all preseason information, but for now it's a bit of a hybrid pre-season / week 1 reaction. Where I'm factoring pre-season rankings, I'm going to give a little bit of a bump to returning QBs.
