Good win on the road but we all know they didn’t deserve it, nuss is incredibly overrated but the skill positions might be enough to take them to the playoff |

BEAMER BALL ALMOST STRIKES AGAIN (it did not this time). Close shave against a decent(?) USC team (2nd time this year???). I could see them falling off in SEC play, they haven't been able to definitively put away their opponents this year so far. Something to be concerned about. |

Narrow victory over South Carolina who didn’t have Lanorris Sellers for pretty much half the game; not super impressive of a showing but just a slight drop in rankings

Debated moving LSU down, but due to the lack of many changes in the bottom half of the T25 have decided to leave them put. I believe the same this year as last, that LSU is a talented team that is is not able to get over the hump of winning quality games. They look good against good teams but cannot win. Although they pulled the win against USC this week, I personally feel it as a loss due to the fact USC had the game put away if not for a bad decision on one play. With the fact they do not have another ranked matchup for a month, I expect they might slip down the rankings while those around them shore up their resumes. LSU feels like a team that needs to prove it for me rather than be given the benefit of the doubt. |

Things seem to be coming together better for the their team. They beat a really good SC team this past weekend. The SC win carries more weight then the Nicholls game issues. |

A wildly entertaining game. The Gamecocks gave LSU everything they could handle (and should probably have won), but a late touchdown saved the Tigers. LSU should be able to use the next three weeks to figure a few things out. |

They won, but that was not pretty at all. There were many calls in that game (in particular, the RTP call that took away a game-changing pick 6) that kept LSU in it and allowed them to escape Columbia with victory. What concerns me more than that, however, is how LSU was struggling to stop South Carolina before Sellers got injured. In a conference with as many dual-threat QBs as the SEC, that bodes poorly for the Tigers. On the plus side, Caden Durham was almost unstoppable and should be a top weapon for LSU moving forward. |
